Director Julie Palagi

Our chorus is so fortunate to have talented director Julie Palagi to lead us to musical excellence. Like most of our members, Julie works full time and is dedicated to her family, her pets, and her job. In addition to being our director, she sings lead in a quartet, coaches other choruses in our region, is an approved judge for Sweet Adelines competitions, teaches private voice lessons, and … much more.

Julie joined Sweet Adelines over 25 years ago as a very shy, quiet lead who was content to be "just one of the chorus". But no more! Throughout the years, she has taken advantage of the educational opportunities available through the international organization, and post graduate classes at UNC in vocal pedagogy, honing her skills in every area of performing and directing, and then sharing this knowledge with her Sweet Adeline sisters. The chorus would like to take this opportunity to thank Julie for her hard work and dedication.
