What is Centennial Blend?
We are a Northern Colorado/Southern Wyoming group of women who love to sing barbershop harmony! We give an annual fall show in the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, Colorado; a Christmas show at the Rialto Theater in Loveland, Colorado, as well as many other performances throughout the year. We compete annually at our Rocky Mountain Regional Competition in Colorado Springs where we have consistently placed at the top or near the top in our division.
We take great pride in our fun, fast paced rehearsals and quality performances led by our dynamic and accomplished Sweet Adelines Certified Director, Julie Palagi. Weekly practice is on Mondays nights in Fort Collins, and interested women are welcome at any time, or take advantage of our twice-yearly offer of free singing lessons as a way to get acquainted with our chorus. As a Rocky Mountain Region member of Sweet Adelines International, we enjoy the wider support of women all over the country and beyond.
What kind of music do Sweet Adelines sing?
Sweet Adelines choruses and quartets perform four-part a cappella harmony, barbershop style. This style of music lends itself to songs from any era - today's ballads, popular show tunes, even jazz. Sweet Adelines have performed their unique style of music in a number of popular venues from professional sports stadiums, Olympic ceremonies, with major symphonies, and even on several national television shows. A PBS special featuring Sweet Adelines International recently aired nationally to over 80 million households.
